I like big books and I cannot lie

Something I LOVE about Summer is the plethora of great books available! There is nothing I love more than reading by the beach, the pool or on my patio with a glass of wine! I mark great vacations by finishing a great book and so far this summer I have been SO lucky! I have read 6 amazing books in a row…. all unique. I have been wanting to share them with you all for a while now, stop being selfish with my great book finds!

Below you will find a story about kidnapping, a TV reality family, a war saga set in the Bahamas, murder and a story about survival. I can’t express how much I love each of these books!

But for me there is has definitely been a TOP read not only of this Summer but of this entire year! Recursion by Blake Crouch is mind blowing. Literally my eyes were bugging out of my head while I read this is 72 hours. This book is smart, time bending and creative. I think this is a book both genders will love and I can easily picture Christopher Nolan turning this into a hit movie like inception. If you haven’t read this, do so today!

Memory makes reality.

That’s what New York City cop Barry Sutton is learning as he investigates the devastating phenomenon the media has dubbed False Memory Syndrome—a mysterious affliction that drives its victims mad with memories of a life they never lived.

That’s what neuroscientist Helena Smith believes. It’s why she’s dedicated her life to creating a technology that will let us preserve our most precious memories. If she succeeds, anyone will be able to re-experience a first kiss, the birth of a child, the final moment with a dying parent.

As Barry searches for the truth, he comes face-to-face with an opponent more terrifying than any disease—a force that attacks not just our minds but the very fabric of the past. And as its effects begin to unmake the world as we know it, only he and Helena, working together, will stand a chance at defeating it.

But how can they make a stand when reality itself is shifting and crumbling all around them?

The only bad thing about reading so many wonderful books in a row is that I became spoiled and I am in a readers rut. I have started a few books but nothing seems to be capturing me like these books have and that makes me sad!

What are you loving this Summer? Any stand out books for you?
