June + LA + Mom

Last month I surprised my Mom with an early 60th Birthday present…. a Mother/Daughter trip to LA! Mom loves Pop Culture, movies and sunshine so LA was the perfect fit for us. I have to tell you guys about the cutest little hotel we stayed at and LOVED! Everything about it was charming, the food and room service breakfast was incredible and this hotel just screamed old Hollywood! The Garland was perfectly situated right by all the Studios and Hollywood… perfect for seeing the sights!

Mom and I toured Paramount Studios which was incredible, we got to see the This Is US sets, where Moses parted the Red Sea, we went into Frankie and Grace’s beach house and sat in Dr Phil’s audience to name just a FEW of the cool things we saw!!!!!!!

Our favorite studio tour was the Warner Brothers and not just the regular tour but we went on an almost 6 hour VIP tour which included lunch in the restaurant where celebrities and executives eat (although we saw none). I learned that the Pretty Little Liars set was then used to film The Nun. I LOVED seeing all the DC Universe stuff. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and he only works part time doing tours while the other he is a show runner on Ellen! It was literally the best day!!!!!!

Mom and went to the famous Ivy restaurant on Robertson and did a little shopping at Kitson. The most disapointing place we ate was SUR by Lisa Vanderpump. It was expensive but completely underwhelming, the place was overall dirty and the food was nothing to write home about. But that’s on me, I wanted to go where my RHOB go! Mom and I did have a LOVELY splurge at Maude, Beverly Hills. The Michelin star restaurant by chef Curtis Stone! It’s the type of place you don’t get a menu and courses just keep coming! It was TOO DIE FOR…

Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post where Mom and I fulfilled our childhood dreams……
