Dior

My Mom stayed a few days after the pageant and we did our usual… relaxed, loved on the dogs, shopped and this time we went to the Denver Art Museum to see the new exhibit Dior from Paris to the World. And we loved it. Seeing pieces from the 50 to today was incredible. And most of the pieces were straight from the runway so they were absolutely works of art.

It was also fun because part of the exhibit was gowns celebrities have worn and man oh man are they so small. Literally a gown Nicole Kidman wore to the Oscars was so incredibly tiny. And I also learned that the Dior gown that Jennifer Lawrence fell in while getting her Oscar is not all white, in fact the gown is half pink. who knew? Here are some of my favorite pieces from the exhibit

Here to the left is the gown Jennifer Lawrence wore and the bottom and the entire front of the ball gown is light pink!
I mean this was a showpiece in one of Dior’s runway collections and you can see why.
I also loved how certain exhibits were grouped by color. And something also surprising is the about of Wool pieces. Talk about itchy and heavy but I guess is wool is used more than I realize.

Mom and I also saw The Upside with Kevin heart and we really enjoyed it, I really recommend it. It is full of heart and humor. We also bought A Star is Born on my TV and I am not sure if it was because everyone has gone and on and on about it but we were completely underwhelmed. I mean I get it the acting is good, its tragic but it was definitely not a favorite of mine.

And let me tell you both boys LOVE when Grandma is here but Elway literally cannot get enough of her love. He is in heaven when he gets double the kisses from me and my Mom! It’s so sweet!

If you live in Denver I recommend going to see the Dior, I think it runs thru February so don’t wait too long!
