Basement update!

Our basement is coming right along and in fact we have so much in our garage including doors, decor, furniture that you can barely move! LOL! Let me remind you what our before was….

Framing was quick, all of our subcontractors have been great… loud….but great. This team framed our whole basement in 8 hours! And it is crazy watching this process, we haven’t built a home before or anything like this so this is all new to us!

Every morning I meet with my contractor to discuss the day, the schedule and to make decisions. My days are also spent picking out tile, flooring, quartz and so much more! Its a lot but I love that this is a custom basement that we designed and I am praying that once it is all done it will look just as good in real life as it does in my head!

Picking out quartz was overwhelming. They just give you a hard hat and let you loose in this huge warehouse with granite and quartz for you to reserve your slab. We like the more sleek look of quartz and that is what we have upstairs so we wanted to stick with the same for the basement as well.

Let me tell ya that the drywall phase is a HUGE mess. We have drywall dust everywhere…. literally everywhere.

Surprise! Check out our bathroom!!!!!! Jesus was amazing with the tile work and made our vision come to life! This tile choice was a gamble but we are so in love with it!

I wanted to share with you all my design board for the living space, everything on this board has been purchased for the space and is in my garage! I am OVER the moon about the Play Ball marquee letters I think they are absolutely going to be my focal point! My modern take on sports…. no man cave here…. a fun family cave 3rd level!!!!!!!

Savage Basement #2

Our wood floors were installed this weekend and then this week will be baseboards, trim and doors. Plus I will be getting this fun custom shower door Matt and I are excited about!!! Stay tuned for more updates. Looks like we are 3 1/2 weeks out from completion!
