Pioneer Woman Country

On my Birthday in Oklahoma Mom, my sister and I took a 4 1/2 hour roundtrip road trip to Pawhuska, Oklahoma also known as the home town of THE Pioneer Woman Ree. We wanted to get there at a good time so we arrived a little after 10:30 and the line to eat was already formed!

You don’t have to wait in line to go into the store or the bakery but to eat you will. We only waited an hour but clearly if you go on Saturday at Noon thats your fault! LOL. The store was awesome there was something that every cook will love in all price ranges! Stuff for your home, kids, decor and those cute shirts she always wears on air! They even have the cutest gift wrapping station!

Lunch was nice the flavored teas were so great and her queso was amazing! We all enjoyed lunch and then got some great treats in the bakery to take home!
The negative? The upstairs with the bakery is HUGE and tons of blank open space while downstairs with the dining room and store was crammed packed. It just wasn’t set up too great. But over all SO FUN and ya, I spent some change thats for sure!

This is the Home cooks DREAM location! LOL! And totally it is like the only place in that town.

Guess WHAT? On very random weekends thru out the year Ree opens up “The Lodge” for guests to tour and we hit the JACKPOT!! About 20 minutes from the store and 15 of those on a gravel road you arrive at the Lodge!

You guys the exact place she films all her shows, hosts family and friends and we got to tour IT! We were so giddy! And don’t tell Ree but we did open up all the drawers and sneak peaks into everything! Her top drawer by the stove top has a LARGE bottle of Advil for long film days I guess!

Oh ya, Mom and I pretended to cook with her cast irons. The lodge is just so stunning and the guest rooms are like the most stunning rooms with bathrooms that are too die for!

The table they share meals at and the boots on the fireplace was so country chic! And yes, we met the DOGS!!!!!

In the back of The Lodge is THIS an entire industrial prep kitchen! I mean it was unreal just look at this….

You guys it was a ton of fun and totally worth the time in the car. It was so nice to spend an entire day with just my Mom and Sister Marissa!!!! xo

Looks like a great day! I have been eating clean for almost 2 months but, not really cooking. Just raw fruits, veggies, beans and roasted chicken you buy at the store for protein. Health issues will trigger it and losing a friend unexpectedly at 43 the other day is another to keep the focus when I want to fall back into old habits. This simple post is making me want to cook! (I am embarrassed to say, I am not sure who she is…but, what a cool store and lodge! I am making a recipe in the crockpot today, that I had at one of my daughters made for dinner with me. 2 Ingredients plus chicken breasts! (Now, I guess I need to find this Pioneer Woman for even more cooking excitement!).Sounds like a perfect day for y'all and time with them is always treasured memories!
