San Fran Part 1

I think I should start off my first vacation post with the most important pictures….. FOOD!!!!!!! Literally after we got there we headed over to the San Fran Ferry Building which was used in the 1910 Worlds Fair, the building was the coolest! And inside is the Hog Island Oyster Co and it was TOO die for!!! So literally what I had was Oysters 2 ways….. open, fresh, in the half shell and then an Oyster PoBoy! It was so delish I can literally taste this meal right now!

I also got us reservations about 6 weeks early at Tyler Florence’s place Wayfare Tavern and sadly he wasn’t there that night! BUT…. the meal was so good! Matt and I split the 60 day dry aged Ribeye for 2 and it was so good, Matt was in steak lovers heaven!

We also HAD to have Sushi in San Fran, I mean Colorado is land-locked so this was most likely our freshest Sushi meal and it was so good! Yes, we spent a pretty penny but it was worth every dime! And who knew I would LOVE Halibut Nigiri so much…. Literally I had to re-order it 3 times! haha!

Matt and I love sports and seeing Stadiums so we went on a Tour of AT&T Park which was really neat since we went to a game while we were there also! When we did our tour they were setting up for an AC/DC concert… wish we could have gone to that!

We went to the Giants vs Diamondbacks game and it was a perfect night with the field overlooking the bay!

This is the view from the TOP of Lombard Street AKA the “Most crookedest street in the world”!

You can also see Alcatraz from Lombard street and the weather was beautiful …….

This was my favorite house I saw…. isn’t it just charming?

So we did the Tourist thing and went to Ghirardelli Square but I am going to be honest with you… super disappointing! I mean ya, there was the chocolate shop but other than that it is literally just a sign you are going to see……..

Puppies of the SEA!!!!!!! Of course I fell in love…….

One day Matt had meetings all day so I took a tour of Chinatown which was so fun, I have read a few Historical Fiction books set here so to see the pages come to life was amazing for me!

During the tour I went to a Fortune Cookie factory, Chinese Herbal Medicine Shop, Markets, Shops and finished the morning off with an authentic Dim Sum lunch!

We flew out a few days early so just Matt and I could spend the days just us but Sunday thru Wed was Farmers Topper Club. This was the banquet room after a wonderful dinner one night and Farmers had a really fun cover band playing for us!

I was so Happy Matt qualified for Topper Club and that we were able to celebrate his accomplishments!

Stay tuned for more posts this week!
