Hi Guys…… I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Matt and I have started packing for the move so our house looks like a bomb blew up…. I swear I loathe moving! But I was able to finish a great book this weekend and we saw a great movie… 2 things I LOVE! And of course, I have to share it all with you……
Madeline King and Grace Pancik are best friends and the envy of Nantucket for their perfect marriages, their beautiful kids, their Sunday night double dates with their devoted husbands. But this summer, something’s changed, and if there’s anything Nantucket likes better than cocktails on the beach at sunset, it’s a good rumor.
And rumor has it..
I am not sure what made me pick up this book I haven’t read very many of Elin’s books but all that might change after reading this! This book is the PERFECT Summer read and I loved every second of it! This book has it all…. Rumors, Affairs, The Beach, Books, Family and Love! This book was just so enjoyable I highly recommend it!
Matt and I love Ryan Reynolds and I am not sure why this movie didn’t play on more screens because we loved it! We didn’t have too many expectations we just knew that we didn’t want to see Antman so Self/Less it was…. and we were pleasantly surprised! If you don’t see this in the theater be sure to put it on your “To-Rent” list!!!
Magic, adventure, mystery, and romance combine in this epic debut in which a young princess must reclaim her dead mother’s throne, learn to be a ruler—and defeat the Red Queen, a powerful and malevolent sorceress determined to destroy her.
On her nineteenth birthday, Princess Kelsea Raleigh Glynn, raised in exile, sets out on a perilous journey back to the castle of her birth to ascend her rightful throne. Plain and serious, a girl who loves books and learning, Kelsea bears little resemblance to her mother, the vain and frivolous Queen Elyssa. But though she may be inexperienced and sheltered, Kelsea is not defenseless: Around her neck hangs the Tearling sapphire, a jewel of immense magical power; and accompanying her is the Queen’s Guard, a cadre of brave knights led by the enigmatic and dedicated Lazarus. Kelsea will need them all to survive a cabal of enemies who will use every weapon—from crimson-caped assassins to the darkest blood magic—to prevent her from wearing the crown.
This book is widely popular and in fact the movie is in the works starring Emma Watson so I was sure I would love it….. and it was eh…..
I don’t know, I just didn’t look forward to reading it every night… I just read it to finish it. I am not sure if I was just in a weird mood or what but this wasn’t anything special to me. Of course I will see the movie when it comes out because that is what I do but don’t run out to grab this one!
