2013

Yes my friends this is the almost mandatory blog post about resolutions! But, I will say being able to look back at each year via my blog and what resolutions I wanted to accomplish each year is pretty neat. 2012 was almost a complete wash….I didn’t do ONE of my resolutions but I think I had enough going on in my life to give me a pass. (maybe?) For me resolutions are more like goals and I don’t like to put too much pressure on me because I feel like that can set me up for failure. But I have high hopes that 2013 will be better than last year……….

* Organize my life!

Organize the house, our important papers, closets, basement you name it! But also organize our life, our routines, keep up with my planner, find all new doctors here is Columbus….etc.

* Read 24 books

Last year my goal was HUGE which for me should be easy but lately my mind is so busy it barely shuts off long enough for me to read at night. So I would like to at least read 2 books a month and try to get back my love for reading.

* Reconnect with friends in Okc

I want to call 1 friend a week to catch up, send cards and I want to make sure my friends know I am here for them. I want to be a better friend like they have been for me over the last year.

* Get a LIFE!

I want to get a life here in Columbus:

1. Be active in Junior League

2. Make new friends

3. Ask a new friend to dinner once a month

4. Explore my new city more, try new places to eat, check out new cities and what not!

* Let things go

* Be more active and resolve to change my eating habits. (More on this tomorrow)

* Read my devotional a few times a week and keep up with my gratitude journal

And lastly I want this year to mostly be about Matt and I….I want us to get into a new routine with Matt’s new job and his traveling. I want to reconnect and do a better job sharing our life together instead of living 2 separate lives. I really want to fill in the holes and build up our foundation!

ps..I want to go on 1 real vacation!

What do you want to do different? Better this year?

    I'm so excited about our eating habits. Scared but excited! Your list sounds great I need to work on mine! Organizing will be a big one on mine too especially with being home now!

    Love the list!! As much as I hate being "busy" I think when you move to a new place you have to make yourself as busy as possible & by doing that you're bound to meet new people & make some new friends. I have moved around a lot as a child & a little as an adult so I can relate with some of your struggles. I think this is YOUR year girl! Excited for the new journey you & Matt are on!
