Ok so there will be 2 reactions to this post:
1. People like me who like the paranormal and know about Bobby Mackey’s will think this is beyond cool
2. People who will think I am weirdo!
But either way I am gonna tell you all about this place! So on another note I can now say I have been to Kentucky, even if it was only for 30 minutes! We crossed that beautiful blue bridge above from Cincinnati to Kentucky on Sunday before the NFL game!
What is Bobby Mackey’s????
Well to read an in depth article on Bobby’s click HERE!
But I am going to give you the very condensed cliffs note version……..
This building has been a slaughter house, home to murders, suicides and possessions over it’s many years. When a building sees deaths and negative energy it can open the place up to more malevolent spirits. Bobby Mackey is a country signer bought this place a long time ago and he said he “felt” compelled to buy it. In fact there was a young killed named Robert Randall in this building and his girlfriend Johanna then committed suicide in this building and whats creepy is that Bobby’s real name is Robert Randall. (coincidence? or destined?) In fact Bobby’s own wife has not been in this building in over 20 years since she was physically attacked.
I learned of this place when the Ghost Adventure guys filmed several episodes in this building and in fact they were doing a episode near by this fall so they wanted to drive over to Bobby’s but all of them then refused to even step foot inside the building. They have all been attacked, scratched, had their voices mimicked in EVP’s and the list goes on and on…..

The basement/catacomb of this place is referred to as a “gateway to hell” and that is where the most evil experiences happen. And get this….when we were there Sunday morning we were the only car/only people there. And while walking around the building where the basement is Matt and I heard a LOUD bang come from inside. Like someone slammed a wood door or something and it was eerily scary. Matt heard it, looked at me and then he stepped back even farther away from the building. It was super neat.?!%#
Here is a video of the Ghost Adventures crew in the basement where Satanic practices are said to have happened during the years this place was abandoned………..You should watch the video….(sorry it’s so small)
So you all think I am a weirdo? I have always been into the paranormal (not in my house, that would be awful) but I have talked about this several times on my blog also. For me I am a believer in things, I believe anything is possible and there is just so much we don’t know about this world of ours. Something about going to a place with that much energy and so much history with a bonus of being featured on shows…I just love it. (weird run on sentence, sorry)
This place is actually the #1 night club in Cincinnati…can you believe that? If anything the paranormal, the books, the shows have only helped make this place be that much more popular!
Cheese! And ya, I am sure as cars were driving by they also probably thought I was a weirdo! I was a “Lookie Loo”
Another thing I like about this place and other places I have visited that are said to be haunted is the history. With a building is so old, where so much good and bad have happened…….I love old places with so much history. Even if the history is evil and haunted…..it interests me.
Here is Matt being a trooper but also making sure he was not standing close or touching the building at all. They give tours during the day that I want to take but Matt refuses….It isn’t his thing. Well that and I made him watch the episodes so he knows what goes on in there.
Here is the sign that hangs above the entrance door ……………….
You all can search the web and learn more about Bobby’s and there is also a book out about this place. In the 80s the caretaker had to have an exorcism from the evil spirits that possessed him while living in this building! crazy!!
Well now that I have officially creeped you out…………..
