SO we have called a “pause” on the inside of the house right now and last week we focused on the outside! Inside we want to paint, hang pictures and what not…..and it can get overwhelming so I am learning patience! haha! You can see our new fence below….but the kicker is we don’t have the back portion yet…..we have 2 sides up but not the 3rd! Urgh…..hopefully, fingers crossed this week will be the week.
We got some awesome patio furniture all from Walmart! I love it, I love the green and the tan matches the deck. I love that this was sold in a set…not every piece has a individual price! I look forward to dinners on the patio soon!
Off the deck we have another patio spot that looks out to our pond and we got this bistro set also at Walmart! I love it, it’s perfect, the chairs as so comfy!
So this is the “before” all the flower beds in the front and back looked like this…….sad and bare!
We went to Home Depot to load up on some flowers to add some color and black mulch to revive the beds. Guess how many bags of mulch it took to cover all our many “flower beds”???????? Around 75! No joke…….
Look at the difference fresh black mulch can make! I love it and Matt worked so hard on this, he did amazing!
More flower beds…..to add color we planted beautiful yellow daisies along side of our house, we are on the corner so we wanted to make sure the side was just as pretty as the front! I ordered me a Thunder garden flag…..can’t wait for that to come in!
Next I wanted to paint our “yellow/cream” front door black to match the mulch and make our sign POP. I don’t think Matt initially saw the vision but thanks to trusting Pinterest the door is perfect! Just like I wanted!
I then got two urns at Crate and Barrel (LOVE having that store close by) and we planted some bright flowers in them to welcome you! From the street the black door, fun sign, cute urns and black mulch it already looks more contemporary and beautiful! I love it!
Today we have a “pond team” coming to clean out the pond, test the water and teach us how to take care of it! $$$ everything costs money! haha! But with us inheriting such a wonderful and pricey pond I want to make sure we maintain it correctly for years to come!
Happy Hump Day friends!
