I have been gripped to my TV over the past weeks during the nightly news watching the stories of Famine from the horn of Africa. My heart aches for these millions of people who are starving and I long to help. I can not do this story justice so I urge you to watch this short video about the Famine in Africa…..I do not think we can choose to ignore this…….

Heartbreaking, isn’t it? You know this week I also heard another story and let me preface this with I like Peyton Manning, he seems very nice so what I am about to say isn’t about him it could be any name associated with this ridiculous salary and I would have the same thoughts…..I am just using this as an illustration! Peyton just signed a 90 MILLION dollar deal over the next 5 years (not including indorsements) and I did the math that averages out to $75,000 a DAY and $3,125 per hour that he is making 365 days a year. And I am not saying that he doesn’t give money to charity, I am sure he does so no hate mail please!!! But if let’s say ONE days salary of $75,000 was given in aide for this African Crisis that would feed 7,500 children for 10 days! That is incredible!

What can we do? You can start by Texting FOOD to UNICEF (864233) to donate $10, enough to feed a child for 10 days!! (this will show up on your monthly phone bill)

I know there are so many “causes” out there and mine is usually animals and millions of animals are dying of starvation also in Africa…….but this was pressing on my heart. I am lucky that I have this platform to share things I am passionate about and if even 1 person other than me donates $10 than I did good!  Feel free to copy, paste, forward this post on because with a 10$ donation YOU can feed a child.
