Matt is 30

** Warning Picture Overload**
So this past Friday we celebrated Matt’s 30th…why not on Saturday his actual Birthday? Well here in the South you never plan anything on a OU game day! Moving on……..Friday we went with both of our families to Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse and it was delish! The food is so rich and high quality I am still in a food coma! Below is Marissa, me and my mom before we ate excited to spend some time together!

Me and The Birthday Boy! I thought about this all weekend…..do we (well almost me) look 30? I don’t know if this is what 30 looks like? Matt said we defiantly don’t pass as 25 year olds anymore but 30 really? How sad time seemed to fly by and here we are at 30!

My good friends The Bahrenburgs came out to help us celebrate and Allison was so cute in her “Blind Mouse” costume…her 2 other mice were still at the other party!

Yes, Matt almost lost his head in this picture…….. Matt said the night was perfect and he could not of been happier…that was the goal!

Here is his Birthday cake after he blew out the candles….Amy Cakes does the best job and it tasted so good it was insane, the bottom was Red Velvet and the top was french vanilla!

Ok, NOW…………….the next are a series of pictures I call “The evolution of a gift”…….
1. Step One, Matt un-wrapping his “big” gift from me….I wrapped it in a Coach box to throw him off………

2. Step two Confusion, what is this?

3. This is what I wrapped…………………. What the, Denver?

4. Step Four Disbelief…….Matt “You did what? No way? For real?”

5.Step Five RELIEF….. Me, this picture sums it up……I am exstactic, I can not keep this secret anymore!! Matt has never been to an NFL game and he has loved the Broncos forever. Now keep in mind I only had 2 days to work with since he gets NO time off! So in two weeks we fly out on a Saturday morning and are going to sight see, eat some good food, stay at Hotel Teatro (it rocks check it here) and then Sunday we have 2 tickets to Broncos vs Chiefs bottom level 30 ROWS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!! And we fly home after the game! This took months of๏ปฟ planning and saving!

6. Step Six Belief… he finally realizes this is for real! Little did I know that the Broncos vs Chiefs is their biggest rivalry! So yay me! Score

At this point we moved into the Mickey Mantle bar and I had Amy Cakes make cupcakes to match the cake as all our friends came to celebrate with us! Cold Drinks and Cupcakes….what more could you ask for?

Matt showing off his Bronco Fleece my parents got him to wear to the game! And I also got myself a cute Broncos hoodie because I am assuming it will be cold! ha

Well guys it kinda weird that after planning and saving this BIG day has come and gone! But Matt was so excited and happy and in return that could not of made me happier! What I wanted to get him instead of a material thing was an “experience” that we would always remember! So Denver here we come………….

You are such an awesome wife! Matt is so lucky ๐Ÿ™‚ Those pictures in your "evolution of a gift" series are priceless!I'm so with you in regards to gifting an experience rather than a possession. You guys are going to have such a blast in Denver! My boyfriend is a die hard Cowboys fan and his best friend + wife are super Broncos fan so we were able to drive out to see those two teams play last October. I'm not a huge shopper by any means but there are SO many great shops in Denver.

Awesome!!!! How similiar are we??? My hubby is a huge Bronco fan too, he grew up in Denver, so 6 yrs ago the Broncos were playing in TN and Christmas morning, he unwrapped the tickets and could not believe we'd be going to the game that night!!! So fun, I was 8.5 months prego at the time, ha, I planned in in August though. It was a little rough on me, but totally worth the experiece for him. So fun, and yes, bring tons of warm clothes, it will be freezing in Denver at that time!!! I LOVE CO, we vacation there every year in the mountains, it's unbelievable and I love Denver too! Have fun!!! Ashley

I'm so glad he's happy with his presents!! That's awesome…though, I have to say that we're Chiefs fans and I can guarantee David will be yelling and screaming at the TV if the Broncos win… ๐Ÿ™‚ Have fun at the game you guys! NFL games are definitely an experience!
