30th Birthday Weekend-Part 2

Saturday afternoon we had a late lunch at one of the many local brewery’s in Denver we also had our first Bison burger! And yes, it was really tasty!! After that we took the 2pm tour of Coors Field where the Rockies play and for $20 this tour was so worth it! We love sporting events and any city we visit we try to see their local team stadiums……………

This was an 1 1/2 hour guided tour with history, facts and getting to go see things you would not normally get to see and it was great…………

Did you know that in the stands there is a purple line of seats and that is the marker for exactly1 mile above sea level!??

We got to see the press box and learn alittle about some of the “insider details” on working for a sports team!

Here is Matt in the press box…………….

We were not allowed in the actual Rockies locker room but we got to go inside the visiting team locker room, bull pen and training room…………..

Kind of neat to think of everyone who maybe has used this locker before……….

We also got to go on the field and in the dug outs…. when you are standing on the field and looking up, it truly is a neat experience!

We were not allowed to step on the grass ….. Did you know that in order for the grass to grow in March in Denver that the entire field is rigged with heating elements under the grass? And that is how it is able to look so green!

And lastly here we are behind home plate! What a great Saturday!

Next up will be the big Broncos game…………………

That's really cool! I went to a Rockies game when they played the Cubs, it's a nice stadium. I love the mile marker!
