Summer Reading off to a Great start…

SO after 5 weeks I finally finished ALL 7 books in the House of Night Series and if you are looking for a easy, fun, vampire filled summer series this is for you……….Book #8 is due out next January!!! Like I mentioned before these are written by a mother/daughter duo who live in Tulsa, Oklahoma which happens to also be the setting for the series!!! It is very neat to read about places and be able to picture them!! These are great!!

So…..I started this book Sunday night and finished this morning if that tells you anything!!! This is #12 on the NY Times bestseller list right now and deserves to be higher!! This is a GREAT summer read…..this is about Tessa and her plastic surgeon hubby who gets too close to a patients mother. But what is different about this book, is at times you will find yourself rooting for the “other woman”!!! This is a fun, face paced and very truthful book that I LOVED and you will too!!!!!

Just read your blog- I read Heart of the Matter too a few weeks ago and LOVED it!! Her next book is due out this winter!! I will have to try House or Night…I need another good vampire book. I am reading the Eclipse Novella now and it's a short, easy read but really interesting to see the fight in Eclipse from another angle! Kathryn

I'm reading Heart of the Matter right now too! Between keeping an eye on the boy I nanny and a full course load this semester it's driving me nuts that I've only been able to read it in 5 page increments! I'm dying to find out what happens. I avoided Emily Giffin's novels for so long because I thought they looked too… chick lit-ish if that makes sense – I caved and read Something Borrowed last month and have been hooked! Have you read any of her other books?

I'm gonna have to borrow that one! I hate that you are missing bookclub on Friday night. We'll miss you.

I've been wanting to read the House of Night books but I've read mixed reviews about them. I'm thinking I'm going to have to give them a try!
