Memorial Movie Madness and more….

Ok, so we were busy little bee’s this weekend in between MX races we saw some really GREAT movies!!! First up Sex & The City 2………….”LOVED IT” (as Mario would say) this movie was over the top, funny, silly and had the best gay wedding scene ever!! NO joke….this movie was all glitz and glammer!! You should see it! We got to see it in the Warren Balcony while eating dinner…there is nothing better!

Next up Prince of Persia……… first I was leary because Jake Gylenhal does not scream ACTION to me but this was great! Matt loved it too……Jake finds himself as a reluctant hero in this fast paced movie set in Persia (based on a video game I hear). This movie has it all, action, humor and a beautiful leading lady!!! I think all groups young and old will love this movie!!! Go check it out!~

Friday night Matt and I took in the OU vs Baylor Big 12 baseball game at the Brick. We had great seats 3rd row, 3rd baseline and the weather was near perfect!! We had a really nice time munching on ballpark food and cheering for the Sooners!!! BOOMER

Last night we rented The Road which is based on the Pulitzers Prize winning novel by Cormac McCarthy and we surprisingly loved it. This is not a movie filled with Sunshine and smiles I may warn you this is dark….it is about a man and his son (no names) after some sort of world ending disaster. This is about their survival and choices one would have to make in a dark situation like this. I thought this was a good movie and a great rent. A real thought provoking movie. Anyone else seen this? thoughts?

Last night Matt and I grilled steaks, corn and I made home made vanilla ice cream…YUMM! I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday weekend……too bad the work week has caught up with us! boo!

I have read the book The Road. Very, very, very dark book. I imagine the movie was too, but I didn't realize it had been made into one! I'll have to reserve it on Netflix, thanks for the review!
