Ok, so you all know that I love History and more importantly I love mysteries and unexplained history….you also should know I am a believer. What do I mean? I am a believer of all, I believe anything is possible, I believe there is so much about the world we live in we are not meant to understand, I believe science is not suppose to explain everything is a pea tree dish and plain and simple I believe. Last week on the History Channel a show aired called “The Real Face of Jesus?” and it was about The Shroud of Turin. To see the website and to check dates for the show to air again click HERE!
I was completely amazed that my whole life as a Christian I have never heard of the Shroud of Turin and I was completely mesmerized by this cloth, the story and the mysteries surrounding it. The story is so long & complex you are best to read about it on the link above but the “jest” is that this is the actual cloth that wrapped Jesus’s body in the tomb and his blood and the dirt on his body made an imprint on this cloth that can still be seen today.
The eerie thing is this cloth has been tested and it is indeed human blood and like in the picture below you can kinda see what looks like 2 hands on top of one another and the blood seems to be in line with were it would match the wound on his hands from the nails. This show used digital technology to highlight the blood stains and I was shocked when they revealed it the blood was in all the exact spots of a crucified Jesus and it was horrifying to see the lash marks and the blood stained on the cloth all over this body. They also have done tests to see if the outline of the body was painted or a fake and all test conclude that whatever the imprint is it is magical and can not be explained.
Below is the face on the cloth, here they used an xray to magnify the face on the cloth and this is what you see………….. isn’t is amazing? This gentlemen used this picture and created what he thinks is an exact 3D image of Christ’s face.
I want you to watch the short video below and please know that this blog post is so short and this 2 hour show was more than I can comprehend and put into words but I wanted to share this story with you because maybe like me you have never heard of the shroud before and I want to open you up to things you don’t know…………………….
I truly hope you will set your DVR this Saturday night April 10 for a re-showing of this on the History channel, I promise you will be amazed and you will learn So so much…..there is documented evidence of this cloth being in the hands of old kings, the Knights Templar and even being used as a healing cloth in 700AD. Please watch and let me know what you think……did you know about the Shroud? What do you think
