Hi guys!! So last night I made something so simple it is hard to call it a recipe…..Fire Roasted Bruchetta!!!! I used my favorite “secret” ingredient and it was amazing!!!!!
Start by getting the Hunts Fire Roasted Tomatoes and try to drain as much as you can. Next up peel 4 cloves of garlic and throw into a food processor
Followed by a generous handful of fresh basil!
Then chop until the garlic and basil is in small bits….I used this neat mini food chopper from Williams-Sonoma. Then add this to the bowl of the tomatoes, salt to taste and add 3 large tablespoons of EVOO!
Give the flavors about an hour to blend in the fridge and in the meantime……slice up a sourdough baguette and put it in the broiler (500′) for about 5 minutes and as soon as it comes out and while it is HOT peel a clove of garlic and rub all over the bread to infuse the flavor!
Then WHAM…………………………yummy Bruchetta!
Yesterday I planted 2 mini Herb gardens and I pray they will grow!!!!! I got these at the Dollar Store for $6!!!
They come with directions and packets of plant food to use while they grow!!!
I will have Chive, Thyme, Oregano, Basil, Parsley and Lavender hopefully at some point!!
I put them on my front porch so my boys wont mess them up! SO I will keep you updated and I hope that sometime this summer I will be able to grab Basil from these mini gardens to use in the next Bruchetta!
I like your simple Bruchetta and excited to see your hurb garden grow! We've done cherry tomatoes & peppers!
I love bruschetta! And that looks yummy and easy, easy!
That looks SO yummy! I think I'll make some!! Thanks!
