Lunch in Paris

SO I just finished this charming Memoir Lunch in Paris by Elizabeth Bard. This is one girls true story about how she met her husband over lunch in Paris and never looked back. She is funny, witty and incredibly real as she tells her story about settling into Paris life, culture and food. This book is also filled with wonderful recipes as she learned how to cook in Paris and navigate the markets, and defiantly some of these I will be trying soon. I found I was alot like Elizabeth in many ways like the things she said and feelings she felt I found I could really relate to her with the exception I live in Oklahoma whiles she lives in Paris. I highly recommend this book for a wonderfully warm read during this cold winter!
Speaking of Paris a friend of mine spent the Holidays there and went on and on about Macarons and while reading this book I felt compelled to try some. So she told me about a real french bakery in Beverly Hills called Paulette where she orders hers from and so I ordered some………….

These are sweet little cookies made with Almond flour and then filled with intense flavor! Some of the ones I got were Vanilla, Lemon and Espresso. They are to die for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can visit the website here.

Well enough daydreaming of all things French………….have a great day friends!

Great review. I love ordering new foods from neat places…I ordered a shoo-fly pie once that I had seen on the food network. It was pretty cool.
