A Week of New Recipes: Day One!
So we all know I love cake and this Kraft recipe caught my eye but it is more than that… let me tell you this is the BEST CAKE EVER! For real, this is soo good I am in heaven!
What You Need!
1 pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix 1 pkg.
(3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
2/3 cup Sour Cream
2/3 cup water
1/2 cup oil
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup chopped PLANTERS Pecans
2 tsp. powdered sugar Make It!
HEAT oven to 350ºF.
BEAT first 6 ingredients with mixer 3 min. or until well blended. Add brown sugar and nuts; mix well.
POUR into 12-cup fluted tube pan or 10-inch tube pan sprayed with cooking spray.
BAKE 1 hour or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan 15 min. Loosen cake from sides of pan; invert onto wire rack. Remove pan; cool cake completely. Sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving.
So to make mine extra special I used an old trick my mom taught me… once I filled the pan, I then used more pecans and more brown sugar and made a layer so when you invert the cake the bottom will have a extra gooey, yummy treat!!
So I said cake is my crack and here is an embarrassing picture as an example…. I actually packed cake for Matt & I to eat at work today, so pathetic I know or wait is it smart?? You see now I am starting a Monday afternoon on a delish cake high!
