Julie & Julia

I had the pleasure of seeing this movie on Friday with my best friend Melissa and we left the theatre so happy and content it almost felt like we had ate a wonderful meal ! 😉
This movie had it all humor, food, wonderful acting and I learned things about Julia Child I never knew prior. Merly Streep is so amazing words can not describe how much she embodied Julia, it was a true joy to watch her in this role. This movie is about Julie who is turning 30 unhappy in her career and tired of watching her friends brag about their wonderful lives. SO she brainstorms with her husband and comes up with this brilliant plan to cook her way thru Julia Child’s “Mastering the Art of French cooking”… my only disappointment in this movie was me thinking “why didn’t I think of that?”
If you like cooking at all or just enjoy a great movie with a wonderful story then you will love this movie was much as I did! I give this movie two thumbs up!

Now moving on to a completely different type of movie… Matt & I saw G.I. Joe on Saturday……
This movie was what I expected it to be full on action and entertaining. I would even classify this into “Sci-fi-ish” because it is so outlandish and over the top but still a on your seat thrill ride. We liked it and would recommend it but be forewarned the movie is full of cheesy one liners and way too pretty of people to be so tough! haha…But non the less if they do a sequel and I am almost positive they will we will be sure to catch it also!

You forgot to add the greatest quote of all time…."What does it mean when you don't like your friends?!" hehehe, that still makes me giggle.

I can't wait to see Julia/Julie. I'll have to pass on GI Joe…maybe the boys can go see it together.
