Devastated

I think we all know by now how much I love my animals and animals in general so with that being said you will know my grief as I tell you what just happened…….
I work in the ghetto, no joke and numerous times I have gone to run an errand and seen a homeless dog and loaded it up, brought it to work, cleaned it, feed it and then found it a home. Well it is raining here again about 20min ago I saw a commotion from the street out front of my office and I went out to see what was going on and what I saw breaks my heart in two… someone hit a dog and drove off and then some women stopped (thank god) and covered it and stayed with it until it died. The guys in the shop here said they saw it running in the road prior ( not sure how I missed that, I have a homing device for animals I think) but if the guys would of told me I would of ran out and could of possibly saved it’s life……..
Now, I know I can not save them all my house is already filled with 4 rescue animals and we have used alot of our savings trying saving animals and finding them homes and I ca not take everyone I see. But I know that animals have a soul and they deserve love, respect and a home…… I mean read a ton of stories how animals will adopt and take care of abandoned animals of another species and then care for it as their own, or how they save human lives and I know that animals are capable of love, compassion and caring just like humans. I could go on & on about this and it is a evil cycle for me if I keep driving by an animal because I don’t know what to do or if I cry for an animal I think to myself “my tears are not saving it”………
Well enough of this depressing post but the point is if we all stopped just once to help or save an animal that would be huge.

An animal rescue is a very noble thing. God has blessed you with an extremely compassionate heart.
