Anderson & Andy

Hi, My name is Nicole and I am a Bravoholic! I love ALL the housewives and I LOVE the leader of them all Andy Cohen! I have read and LOVED both of his books and I swear you guys he should be my friend!
This is Anderson Cooper, super smart CNN reporter and self proclaimed "Giggler"...........

Together Anderson and Andy are BFF's and they went on Tour... so my friend Melissa and I were THERE!!!!!! It was Valentine's weekend so went on a Galentines date starting with a good meal of course!
When we got to the theater we realized we were literally 6th ROW!! It was so neat and a complete packed house!
We listened and laughed for over 2 hours and it was so much fun, they really make you feel like we are all just friends laughing over a drink or 3!
I loved hearing Housewife stories and then Anderson stories from the front line mixed in with their yearly vacation shenanigan stories! It was just a great night getting dressed up and having a laugh!

* Disclaimer, this is NOT a political, liberal, religious post. But what it is, it a Human post. I do not care about your negativity, K? Thanks!*

As a human and as a person who is a Christian I always remember reading that everyone is equal, you should love your neighbor has your own and there are no loop holes there. It is simple. You should treat everyone with dignity and respect even if you do not agree with them. And sadly that right there is the biggest problem today. "Christians" keep thinking there are rules they exempt to and it is so very sad.
I have told you all before I am a believer of ALL and I love education myself and learning about things that are new to me. And I am so thankful I watched this documentary Gender Revolution. What I found the MOST interesting was the actual science in the brain and how it is different on Transgender individuals. I also learned how many people are born each year being both sexes, nothing is as black and white as people would like things to be....
Here is a clip about Gender Revolution which will explain things much better than I can.....

Something shocking I learned that was 1/2 of all Transgender people take their own lives, how is that ok? They are put into a position to hate themselves so much that they die, it's horrible. This documentary shows the faces, the stories and emotions behind the headlines and I really really wish you all would watch it. You can catch it ONDemand and learn more about watching it HERE
And how in the name of Jesus can you shame, hate, call names to other humans and think that is ok?

Lots of Laughs

You guys here is the thing.... I just don't watch comedies on TV, movies... YES.... TV? Not really. Mostly because they are not funny to me, comedies seem to be just plain stupid. I am a Drama girl all the way on my DVR but lately I have expanded and I have to share! Lets jump right in...
Ok, surely unless you are living under a rock then you have to have heard about the new Netflix show Santa Clarita Diet! You guys this is FUNNY!! And even my parents are hooked! This is a new take on zombies and Drew Barrymore is perfection ..... just watch it. DO IT. TRUST ME and did I mention they are Realtors? Hysterical!

Next up is The Mick on Fox and although sometimes its stupid I am HOOKED! It is so funny and just watch it! You can catch up OnDemand and I insist you do!

The Great Wall

So this movie got a ton of flack for Matt Damon being the lead, he is white and this is an Asian movie. I even felt that way at first but then I saw it and it fits into the story. He is in Asia "trading" and essentially is captured by the Chinese on at the Great Wall... long story short once he finds out what they are fighting for me wants to help and joins in. Listen this movie is pure fantasy but it is beautifully shot and full of monster and action..... all things I love! Hey, I have no shame I enjoy being entertained! I would say this is defiantly a renter, maybe not a theater worthy movie but Matt and I really enjoyed this. It was a fun Saturday night movie!

50 Shades Worse

Last night I decided what the hell and I went to the 7pm opening of Fifty Shades Darker, I was excited! Date night for ONE! I liked the first movie, I thought it was fun and it didn't take itself too seriously which made it really enjoyable. And for once it looks like I agree with all the reviews of this movie.......
Fast forward to this one and Mr. EL James wrote this script with a crayon. The dialogue was horrific and very childlike and stiff. The audience I watched it with laughed A LOT and it isn't a comedy. And then the crew that edited this movie ..... I am mean, I can't even. It was BEYOND choppy, no actual plot for instance....... (spoiler) Christians chopper crashes, the whole family is watching the news cover it, the news then says he has been found "Breaking News" and then a magical Mr. Grey Teleported and walked into the room with his family. People laughed so hard.
I kept looking at my watch.
And the sex scenes are just very scripted, now.... heck ya Christian is SUPER fine but thats all. I mean why turn on the shower and get in with all your clothes on? ugh
I am super easy to please, I was not expecting an Oscar-worthy movie but this was a MESS. It was like a really bad lifetime movie with boobs. Do yourself a favor and wait until you can rent this I wish I had. And the magical marriage proposal? It happened like 10 times which took away anything special about it. He says they will pick out the ring together and the next scene he has one in his pocket, STUPID. OH one more thing the scenes with his "Mrs. Robinson" are so bad and maybe it is because Kim Basinger's face literally does NOT move but her stuff got the biggest laughs.
OK, OK... I will stop.
What a disappointment

GOOD Reads!

 Winifred Allen needs a vacation.

Stifled by a soul-crushing job, devastated by the death of her beloved brother, and lonely after the end of a fifteen-year marriage, Wini is feeling vulnerable. So when her three best friends insist on a high-octane getaway for their annual girls’ trip, she signs on, despite her misgivings.

What starts out as an invigorating hiking and rafting excursion in the remote Allagash Wilderness soon becomes an all-too-real nightmare: A freak accident leaves the women stranded, separating them from their raft and everything they need to survive. When night descends, a fire on the mountainside lures them to a ramshackle camp that appears to be their lifeline. But as Wini and her friends grasp the true intent of their supposed saviors, long buried secrets emerge and lifelong allegiances are put to the test. To survive, Wini must reach beyond the world she knows to harness an inner strength she never knew she possessed.

With intimately observed characters, visceral prose, and pacing as ruthless as the river itself, The River at Night is a dark exploration of creatures—both friend and foe—that you won’t soon forget.
I finished The River at Night last night and I really loved this book! It was a quick thriller of a book which was just what I needed! It was The River Wild meets Misery! Each character has their own baggage and reason to need this trip and I loved how the friendships was the basis for this book! I could super easy see this as a movie starring like Blake Lively! If your looking for a FUN February book then this is the ONE!

In a ruined and toxic landscape, a community exists in a giant silo underground, hundreds of stories deep. There, men and women live in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them. Sheriff Holston, who has unwaveringly upheld the silo’s rules for years, unexpectedly breaks the greatest taboo of all: He asks to go outside. His fateful decision unleashes a drastic series of events. An unlikely candidate is appointed to replace him: Juliette, a mechanic with no training in law, whose special knack is fixing machines. Now Juliette is about to be entrusted with fixing her silo, and she will soon learn just how badly her world is broken. The silo is about to confront what its history has only hinted about and its inhabitants have never dared to whisper.
There are several versions of this book, this started as a short story so make sure you get THIS cover!!! And this is a pretty thick book and it took me a little bit but I LOVED it! Once again this is a different take on the apocalypse and I digged it (no pun intended)! This book was very vivid I could picture the silos they live in and the world around them perfectly! And whats great is the twist has a twist, it's a reverse twist and I liked it! There are 2 more in this series and I will be starting book 2 very soon!

I am not a member....

OK, so I love me some "Single Ladies" I enjoy watching her perform but in the past few years Beyonce has become this "THING" like people are obsessed and I don't get it! I mean I will pick up the magazines with her pregnancy on the cover but I don't really care. I don't get the obsession... someone will have to explain it to me someday.

But I am sure you all have long wondered what my pregnancy announcement would have been if I could have gotten pregnant and well folks Beyonce stole it! I was totally gonna pose in front of funeral flowers wearing a misquote net over my head. 😂😂

Are you a member of her "Bey-Hive"????

Hasselback Brie Chicken

Hasselback Brie and Spinach Chicken
1 Cup Spinach
2 Chicken Breasts
2 Baby Brie (Trader Joe's)
Smoked Paprika
* Preheat oven to 375'
* Slice each baby Brie into 4 slices and rough chop your spinach
* Make 4 slices in each chicken breast but be careful to NOT cut thru!
* Season with Salt and Pepper
* Start by stuffing each slit with Spinach and then the Brie on top
* Sprinkle about 1 teaspoon of Smoked Paprika onto each chicken
* Bake in oven for 30 minutes and then use Broiler for 5 minutes to finish off melting cheese at end!
This went so well with Smoked Paprika Cauliflower and they both cook perfectly together in the oven on the same temp!
* Dice the cauliflower up and then toss with EVOO, Salt, Pepper and a liberal amount of Smoked Paprika
* Roast in oven on same temp for 30 minutes with chicken!
This was so delish, easy and mostly healthy! I needed a way to finish up the last 2 Baby Brie's from Trader Joe's and I also had spinach that needed to be used so WHAM!!! Easy Week night dinner! I hope you enjoy this as much as Matt and I did! Share with your friends or pin on Pinterest for me!
