Fresh Makeup for Spring and Summer

All I got is 4 minutes to save the world…

From seeing my face without makeup!

Hi, I’m Nicole Willis a Wife, Mother and Makeup Artist from Phoenix, Arizona.  So how am I writing on this Blog you ask? Mrs. Nicole Savage is why. Your fearless blogger and I are friends from our dancing days…this is us back in the day. (When I was skinny, didn’t have to dye my hair dark because of grey hair and fabulously tan) Two Nicoles! What could be better?

I’m a Makeup Artist, and normally travel to wedding venues and homes all over the state getting people dolled up for their big day. When Nicole reached out to me to see if I would be willing do a tutorial for spring/summer on her blog I knew I had the perfect quick go to look.

It seems to never fail that something pops up and I have to be ready to go in less than 30 minutes. So now that I’m older and my skin doesn’t just glow on its own from flecks of youth. I find myself scrambling to get ready. Because going without makeup isn’t an option for me.

With higher temps in spring and summer the amount of invites to outdoor social gatherings like BBQ’s, Garden Parties, Sporting events all increase.  Sometimes you may only have a few minutes to throw on your fav Maxi dress, your hair in a top knot and some descent makeup…and of course some big hoop earrings! Ha!

Spring and summer provide some of the best and brightest colors. I decided to capitalize on these colors for this look. It’s my go to. It’s simple, light and bright. Usually taking under 20 minutes. Here were a few inspiration pics from my neighbor’s flowers peeking over our fence. Ah, Spring is in the air.

I know one thing from working with many clients and even myself, being afraid color is a real thing. I along with many others suffered from this. But here is some advice- IT’S OK TO HAVE BRIGHT LIPS!

Yep, you heard me, back away from the nudes and take a chance. The trick, you see, is compromise. If you do the bold bright lip you go less on everything else. Saving you time and effort while still being on trend. You don’t have to become Mimi from the Drew Carey Show but you can be radiant.

Below is the tutorial on how to achieve the look I’ve described. Links to the some of the major items used are provided in the description bar under the video. I mention all products with names in the video. I hope you enjoy the video and if you want… subscribe ;)

P.S. I also set my makeup afterwards, I didn’t add that part due to the length but I used the Mary Kay setting spray. I works amazingly. You can purchase it here:

It’s been a blast you guys!
