More more more decor....

You know whats funny?? So I show you all the decor I have been working on all the time and I am sure by now you are probably so confused as to what room is what and where everything fits in. It is confusing but I do tend to jump from room to room as the sales permit!!! But once again I have no one to show so thank you my blogger friends who have filled in a void for me..........

Second, I am not sure why this picture looks so oddly proportioned? The wreath is not that small and this entry table looks much better in person....it is the same PB mahogany table that I have in my living room. Yup, I ordered 2 because they were on sale! This is just past my formal dining room/across from the basement door and in the entry hall. (Confused yet?) Any-hoo I got the idea from Pinterest and it has come together pretty good I think. And I am going to change out the wreath for the holidays, I am pretty excited about that!
I did this today......this is the small wall by the powder room and the door to the master! I can keep adding onto this wall which makes it nice. This includes the framed ticket stub for our first date, the first game Matt came to watch me dance at pic, our engagement pic and a more recent picture! All on sale at Hobby Lobby!!!
SO......my prints I ordered on Etsy for the formal dining room came and luckily Hobby Lobby has 1/2 off frame week! Cute huh? It is printed on an antique book page!! My 2 loves......food and books!
This is the wall at the back of the dining room facing the window! This also looks oddly small in the pic but it really isn;t! The middle piece is an antique window pane my mom bought me!
So thats all for today folks!!!!!!!

Obsessed!

HI!! First of all Google just made me purchase more space for a whopping $2.50 per month! Looks like I blog too much and I am taking too much space up! HA....sounds just like me!

Today I come to you all with a problem.....one I don't really want to fix. I am 100% addicted to Pinterest! And I not only pin hundreds of pins I actually buy the things I pin, make the recipes and I try to do the crafts from time to time! I literally think Pinterest is the BEST thing ever! And since I added the app to my phone (bad decision) I spent my night dueling between watching TV and pinning.....all night! I swear if you follow me I must be blowing up your feed with my crazy pinning!

Speaking of following me......you should follow me on Pinterest, if you can keep up!! You kind find me under nsavage (Nicole Savage) or click HERE! (maybe that link works)

So what have I done this week? (It's only Tuesday)
I ordered the gold and black necklace (I already have the arrow) from my friend Kaylyn who sells Stella and Dot! I liked this Pin and wanted to layer necklaces too! You can buy them HERE!
One of my sisters friends Pinned this cool watch and it is only $34, cute for fall I thought so I ordered it from Urban Outfitters!!!
Then last night I made tacos and thanks to Pinterest I made these amazingly easy Apple Enchiladas! They were SOO good....you must make em.......click HERE for the recipe!
Do you all love Pinterest as much as I do????

Lets Catch Up....

Hi Friends! Monday already??? I hope everyone had a nice weekend! Mine was, just ok too quick. Last Friday if you remember we had Matt's office cookout for about 35 agents and their staff....and sadly, I was so busy I forgot to take any pictures! We grilled Brats, Hotdogs and burgers.....I made pasta salad and a cake....we had chips, drinks and the whole shibang. It was a lot of work on both of our parts but when everyone came and told Matt how impressed they were with the office so far it made it all worth it!
After we cleaned up we went to the Ohio State Fair for some grub and to see a concert!!
Funny thing is, I wasn't really thinking about the weather when I planned this.....95 with NO shade or breeze was miserable! No joke I had a melt down (literally) so to cool off Matt and I rode the monorail back and forth a few times! It was fun and this is the closest you will ever see me to an actual "ride"
We ate a ton of really healthy food.............. bahahahaha, actually maybe the calories we burned hoofing it all around the fair to find a cinnamon roll canceled the actual roll out? I would like to think so ! (wink wink)
Around 7pm we headed to the arena where we saw The Doobie Brothers and Chicago!! My 5th time to see Chicago and 2nd for the DB.....remember I saw them with my parents this last April! It was such a relaxing and enjoyable show! Matt didn't know much about the DB but when we left we both agreed that this time they really put on a better show than Chicago! Luckily both bands played all my favorite hits!
I am super excited about my concert shirt (why are they so expensive?)! By the time we got home and looking back onto the crazy day we had we literally collapsed into bed!

SO changing subjects, I am still walking about 4 times a week.......a fast walk and I am walking about 2miles in under 30minutes. Which is a great start, I actually get up and want to go so that is a giant step in the right direction for me!!!!! Funny me talking about this while I just talking about hoovering a cinnamon roll...oh well!

I didn't get to see Step Up this weekend, hopefully I can fit it in one day this week....did anyone see it? And??? This week Total Recall comes and I am excited about that. Can you believe that this week will be August? Where does the time go???? GUESS WHAT?? My family is coming to visit on Labor Day! That is only a little over 1 month away! I am so excited!

Well, have a great day...be back later!

Shadow Box...

It is Thursday and I have a busy busy day ahead.....today is shop and prep day for Matt's cookout tomorrow. I am headed to Sam's ....but buying buns, meat, sides, pops and what not for 34 people just might take 2 carts! So wish me luck!!
BUT before I head out I wanted to show you all my coffee table............ (It's HERE) This is from Pottery Barn and it is so unique and once again......we were able to buy this table off the show room floor and they gave it to us for 1/2 off!!! It is the Townsend Coffee Table ...
What is special is that it is basically a shadow box, Pottery Barn showed it filled with shells and what not but I immediately knew I would fill it with our memories......
I alternated between decorative balls (balls....ha) and then I used the other compartments to show off Ticket stubs, memories, our wedding guest book and pictures......
So when you come over our coffee table will be a conversation piece. Come fall and winter I will replace the balls (ha) and put in pumpkins or ornaments to match the Holiday!
I really think it's neat....a tad busy but I have never seen anything like this...turning our coffee table into a real shadow box filled with our life and things we love!
You likey???

Some Tastiness for Tuesday!

First of all I am BACK, second of all....is Tastiness a word?? If not, it is now! I have 2 super simple recipes and both only have 3 ingredients (or ingredientesese as Jersey Teresa would say).
First up, I had to jack the picture off of Pinterest because I forgot to take my own but I made a super yummy breakfast this morning!!!!
Pancake Muffins with sausage! Here is how....
Mix pancake batter as directed (I used the just add water and shake yellow container) and add cooked sausage crumbles. (I also had bought Jimmy Dean already cooked Turkey sausage crumbles in a package) Spray mini muffin tin with Pam and full with pancake batter. Sprinkle the extra sausage on top and bake at 350 for 13 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with butter and syrup. Enjoy these delicious bites!
Try em you will love em and if you have kids I think they would really love these!
Second, I also saw this on Pinterest and have since made it twice...I LOVE Root Beer freezes and this is the best version of them!!!
All you need is 1 2-Liter (you can use ANY pop), condensed milk and evaporated milk!
Combine!!!!!!! Since I have the small ice cream maker I used about 1/2 of the pop and 2/3 of each can of milk! I let this mix in my maker for about 45minutes, then transfer to the freezer (in tupperware) and in 1 hour your done!!! This doesn't get super hard and it is best the night of but try it, it's great!
Ok, I am hungry now....I am making Easy Pad Thai tonight...wish me luck!

GrOhio!

Hi Guys! Today I thought I would give you a sneak peak at Matts new office!!! Yes, after a crazy move we have been thrust into an office build out! Farmers already had the "District" set that Matt took over but they wanted it moved.....to Pickerington. The office is literally 2 miles from our house, which is Sooo nice!! This office will be where all new Farmers Agents in this district will be hired, trained and where Matt will host meetings. We are over 1/2 way thru Phase 1...........
It was nice for me to be able to help Matt pick wall paint, flooring and soon decor! This big room will be Matt's new office! I know he is very excited about it all.
This is Phase 2......This huge space will hold the restroom, kitchen, "Bull Pen" aka desks, tables and space for new agents to work out of until they are able to get their own space. This will also hold the conference and training room. This portion of the build out is expected to be done in about 40 days.
Here is Matt's stock pile of office furniture, decor and electronics...(the rest is in our garage and basement)
This is looking back into the more "office" portion of the space....this will be finished FRIDAY! Now, Matt's new office furniture will not be here until August 10 but the floors, phones, electronics will all be done this friday! I know he is anxious to start marking things off his to-do list. He is currently working out of one of his agents places.
This is looking out front of the space......we share an building and our "neighbor" is a gym. Matt spent all weekend cleaning out the parking lot and working on some landscaping out front.
Matt wanted to get his agents together to Welcome the new space and celebrate Phase I being complete so this Friday we are hosting a cookout over lunch! We are having door prizes, burgers, brats and dessert! I am excited to help plan it....today I am off to buy paper goods and to pre-order over 30 burger patties and brats at our grocery store! I am thinking I will make the Pioneer Woman Chocolate Sheet cake which I will call Oklahoma Sheet cake, pops, chips, fruit tray.......but any large salad ideas???? Like a picnic cookout favorite I can make for a large group of over 30????? Ideas appreciated!

I will take more pics once we get the nice wood floors in!!!! Have a good day friends!

The Dark Knight Rises

Let me right away start off by saying how deeply sad I am for all the victims and their famlies of the Colorado shooting. I can not even imagine the horror they went thru in that movie theater. Such a terrible tragedy and there is a special place for the guy who did that, if you know what I mean.

Now switching gears completely I AM going to give you all my review of the Dark Knight........
This movie was absolutely EPIC!!!! This movie was literally a masterpiece....not only was the cast perfection but it was so visually stunning. Just trying to wrap my head around how Christopher Nolen pulled off a movie of this magnitude makes my head hurt. The story line perfection, the emotions were real and the ending......amazing. I know that is some praise huh? If you have never seen the past 2 then this won't be as good for you, you are not invested like I was... but for fans of the trilogy this is the best ending to a trilogy I have ever seen. Let me say something it is PG-13, I know kids like Batman but my personal opinion is that it really is 13 and UP! I do not know how any kid would know what was going on, it is very dark and voilent. So it just confused me all the 8 and under kids in the movie.?!
Anyways, Ann Hathaway killed it as Cat Woman....her story line made sense and although I was leery she wiped away any doubt I had once I watched it. Christian Bale IS Batman, he is so good I feel like he just might be Bruce Wayne in real life. Bane AKA Tom Hardy was unrecognizable as a truly terrifying villain....brillant. But honestly my favorite was Joseph Gordon Levitt's character Blake, as the honest cop. OK Ok ...I could go on and on BUT I don't want to give anything away and yes, there are major things to give away. I will leave you 1 tidbit keep your eyes peeled for cameos.
BEST movie I have seen ALL year hands down.
Here is the goose bump inducing trailer...............

Did you see The Dark Knight this weekend? Thoughts.....some ending huh?

Dining Room...

TGIF!!!!
So I was going to wait until the dining room was all 100% done to "show and tell" but I just can't. (I am not known for my patience) I am excited because I not only worked hard but I was thrifty!!!! Do you all remember the formal dining room before?? Yup, it was "sponged" lovely.............
We have always had red or tan walls in our Okc home but knowing the China pattern that was passed down wouldn't go with red we threw around some ideas and my Mom suggested green! So here is Martha Stewart Caper Berry paint from Home Depot. I love it......It will match the china, it will go great when I decorate for fall and then it will transform into Christmas green! I am so glad we took the green leap! And that Hutch was from Pottery Barn and I had actually "pinned" it as what I wanted "someday" and Guess What??? It was $700 OFF! I love finding a deal!
Now you all know we plan on getting wood floors ( I know I know I say it took much) so I wanted to pick a contemporary rug that can go over that dreadful carpet but still look good with wood..........And wham! Home Depot...... 10 x 12 for less than $500 and I love it! It should arrive in about 10 days!
Here is the hutch decorated........Everything is from Hobby Lobby except the plate...that is something I had from Sur La Table! I love it.... And of course if we do have a dinner party that can easily be cleared and used as a buffet.
Now that table is also from Pottery barn and I am not sure if you can tell but that is a bench on one side that I love that look. Up close the table has some distressing on it.....it is the Norfolk line that was discontinued so we got the table and bench for really cheap. Yes, we are having 4 Mahogany chairs that are in the same line as the hutch...it is very Shabby Chic mixing wood. But as of now we only have 1 chair....why? HA, they are pricey so we will buy them as we can since they are all sold separately!
You know it's funny, this is the most grown up room I have ever had and it makes me smile. I find myself just sitting in there imagining my family over for dinner.
The brown sheer curtains are Martha Stewart also for Home Depot, I steamed them so hopefully the wrinkles will continue to fall out. I also did a little version of a plate wall, those plates were on sale at HL for $1! For real!
 The Hutch again.........
Now we have another wall that I will show you all soon....it has a cream vintage window panel my mom bought me a year or two ago and it fits in the room PERFECT!!! Below is a print I have ordered from Etsy (I got one that says Eat also, 8x10) and I will frame them both on either side of the window panel. Pics to come soon.
Lastly I ordered this burlap table runner with our initials also on Etsy. When this comes in I plan on removing the place mats for now and adding this to the table. I am very exited the burlap matches the lamp shades!
So there we have it friends! Thanks for stopping by.......slowly but surely I am making our house a home.
