Please HELP!

This is SO SO SO important!!!!
By going to you can send a letter to your legislature or sign the online petition! I think we all know where I stand on animals and adopting animals but not everyone knows the here they are for you (knowledge is power) these are hard to read and they rip my heart in 2 but you can't just ignore it and it will go wont!
Puppy Mill Facts:

*Hundreds of thousands of puppies are raised each year in commercial kennels.

*Puppy mills are distinguished by their inhumane conditions and the constant breeding of unhealthy and genetically defective dogs solely for profit.

*Very often the dogs in puppy mills are covered with matted, filthy hair, their teeth are rotting and their eyes have ulcers. We have seen many dogs whose jaws have rotted because of tooth decay.

*The dogs are kept in small wire cages for their entire lives. They are never allowed out. They never touch solid ground or grass to run and play.

*Many of the dogs are injured in fights that occur in the cramped cages from which there is no escape.

*Many dogs lose feet and legs when they are caught in the wire floors of the cages and are cut off as the dog struggles to free themselves.

*Very often there is no heat or air-conditioning in a puppy mill. The dogs freeze in the winter and die of heat stroke in the summer. Puppies "cook" on the wires of the cages in the summer.

*Female dogs are usually bred the first time they come into heat and are bred every heat cycle. They are bred until their poor worn out bodies can't reproduce any longer and then they are killed. Often they are killed by being bashed in the head with a rock or shot. Sometimes they are sold to laboratories or dumped. This is often by the time they reach five years old.

*Puppy mills maximize their profits by not spending adequate money on proper food, housing or veterinary care.

*The food that is fed in puppy mills is low quality and sometimes made of the sweepings from the floor. It is so devoid of nutritional value that the dogs' teeth rot at early ages.

*Dogs in puppy mills are often debarked by ramming a steel rod down their throats to rupture their vocal cords.

DO I have your attention now? Did you know that Oklahoma is #2 in the NATION for puppy mills? I mean these are not toys....they are God's creatures just the same as you and me. I could go on and on.........So PLEASE either pass this post on, visit the site, sign the petition or send a letter.....because you and I TOGETHER can make a difference! And please ADOPT!!!! Or you know me...give me a week and I will find you one!

This breaks my heart! Our dog Happy was rescued from a puppy mill. He is so precious but it breaks my heart because he still has certain thinks he is so scared of. If you even raise your voice telling a story he runs and hides under the bed. He doesn't like any loud noises, quick movements, or anyone being too close to his face. He is such a sweet puppy and has the best personality. I just cannot understand how people could hurt animals or children. Totally breaks my heart in half. I just hate it. Thanks for making people so aware and for getting others involved. You're making a difference!!!
