Let me tell you that all the girls in my book club have read this book series and were saying how wonderful it was and for some of them they were the best books they have read, but I was not convinced at first. It took me a month or two to go out and buy the book and dive in.
My reservations? Well it is a Christian series and usually any Christian themed book I have read is dull, preachy and uneventful and I enjoy action, love and some mystery in the books I read.
So now for my review, this book is great it is not a "Christian Book" but a fictional book set in biblical times involving Jews, Christians and non believers. I LOVE history and this book is set in Rome and has alot to do with Gladiators and it is very intriguing and as I read it I was transported to that time in history and the book played out in my head like a movie. This book is also about God's love and how you can show his love to others just by your actions. The author did a ton of research on this time period, their customs and how they lived their lives and frankly I was shocked! This book seems to deal with modern day issue's but the characters are just wearing different clothing. I rushed out to buy Book # 2 and I will start it today so I do recommend this book to anyone! So you know it is confusing at first with all the biblical names and the introduction of the characters but soon enough I had everyone straight! So I am giving this book 4 out of 5 stars!!!!
Ps..........My Kindle 2.0 will be here NEXT WEEK!!!!!

Robert Downey Jr. was looking quite "Refreshed" if you know what I mean, it looks like he may of had some pre-Oscar work done but I guess it paid off because he looks so sharp and handsome!!!
Ok, I LOVE Josh Brolin.......(Ignore his wife Diane who was having a rough night) Josh to me is a rugged "guys guy", he is the guy whom we all want our husband to look like... ( and might I add I think Matt does look like him) But I think Josh Brolin looks wonderfully put together and masculine at the same time!!!
Beyonce, Not much to say about this other than I do not likey one bit.
Amy Adams I just love and many Red Carpet "fashion people" loved this look last night as she walked the carpet but I don't. I love her necklace but not with this dress it doesn't seem to match the black details on the dress at all. This was not a favorite of mine!
Sarah Jessica Parker was my top! Her dress was STUNNING! This picture does not do it justice at all. It seemed to be a pale Mint color and the layers of tulle were to die for! I love her darker hair and the big loose curls work so well with this stunning Couture gown!!
I loved this Reem Acra gown Taraji wore it seemed to fit her style and personality to a T! This works so well with her sleek bob and her Diamond necklace that is in the shape of flowers. I think her dress looks like a petal and I love it!!!!!
Ok guys, that was just for fun I am no one to judge and I am not a expert at fashion but I do love fashion and I love seeing what the celebrities will wear to fun events like the Oscars! I hope this was something silly that made you smile! Before we go here are the two couples everyone was talking about........
We all know Brangelina is the golden couple but I wish Angie would wear something other than black next time! But really how are two people this GOOD LOOKING? It is not fair!!!
But on the other hand I loved Jennifer's dress she looked beautful and I thought her hair was funa nd fit her personality well! They do make a cute couple!

I know right! If you don't know Matt your shocked with the exception of the top pic (ignore his workout gear) Matt is so clean cut, always wears a suit to work and Polo's on the weekends... BUT this is his "Thing" and I have never known him without some so if it makes him happy then I am happy! He has two more, one on his chest & one on his back but he wouldn't take his shirt off! HA! These pictures were taken hours after the full color one was done, so the redness won't be like for long it is because it is irritated in the pic and he said he hurt pretty bad this time! The newest one with color does represent something special though, if you look carefully it says Sandi and that is his mother who passed away when he was young.

Well our belated (belated because I made it yesterday) Valentines Day meal was a success! I made all of Matt's Favorites! I attached pictures of everything in the slide show because I had to many pictures to post them all one by one!
Here is the recipe for the "Roasted Chicken Purses" from Everyday Italian (Giada) .......this is not that hard but time consuming the whole dinner (Asparagus, Salad and Chicken) took me about 1 hour & 15min!
Roasted Chicken Purses
Recipe courtesy Giada De Laurentiis
Prep Time: 30 min
Inactive Prep Time: hr min
Cook Time: 5 min
Serves: 4 servings
1 1/4 cup shredded roasted chicken (or any leftover chicken, light and/or dark meat)
3/4 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
1/2 lemon, zested
1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon salt, plus more for sprinkling
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus more for sprinkling
32 small, square wonton wrappers
1 large egg, lightly beaten
4 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
In a small bowl combine the chicken, ricotta cheese, lemon zest, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
On a dry work surface place 8 wonton wrappers. Place a rounded teaspoon of the chicken mixture in the center of each wrapper. Using a pastry brush, brush the egg wash around the chicken mixture. Bring four corners of the wonton square together over the filling to form a purse. Press the edges together tightly to form a seal. Wipe the board with a towel until dry and continue making batches of 8 with the remaining wonton skins
Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add
the purses and cook until they float to the surface, stirring occasionally, about 4 to 5 minutes. Drain the ravioli.
Melt 4 tablespoons of butter in a medium skillet. Turn off the heat, add the cooked pyramids and gently toss. Transfer the pyramids to 4 serving plates. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.
I made this silly video because it is confusing on what your suppose to do on this recipe! Please IGNORE me & what I look like.. come on people who wears make up on the weekend? Not I!

This morning started out well seeing that I stood in line at Krispy Kreme for 45min to bring heart shaped donuts to my co-workers who seemed to care less! HA, figure! Well at least I enjoyed the 2 (possibly 3) I grubbed down on! Tonight Matt & I are going to my fav place to eat... Mickey Mantle's!! We figured 1 day early and we would beat the rush but I guess not...I called 2 days ago and was told they were booked solid but lucky for Matt he married the right girl ( or at least a girl who worked at Mickeys for 4 years) so the GM (Erik) emailed me yesterday and said he did not see my name on the reservation book and I told him I waited too long, he said NO WAY he would move some people around! SO yippee for us, we are in like Flynn! HA ( Sometimes it is good to know people). Tomorrow I am being a good wifey and making a gourmet meal dessert and all..... Here is the Menu people:
Tomato & Mozzarella Salad
Roasted Chicken Purses ( Giada's Everyday Italian)
Roasted Parmesan Asparagus
This may sound silly but it is Matty's Fav: Yellow Cake with Chocolate icing!
I will let you all know how that goes on Monday! You can email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) for the recipes or ideas if you want to make a gourmet meal at home also, I have a ton of ideas!
I hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Weekend and if nothing else get some relaxing squeezed in! BUT before I leave you all there is something I have been waiting for for quite some time..................... This Trailer makes me laugh my butt off.......this is Matt's V-day present to me ( we are going to see it this weekend)

So today is somewhat of a busy day! I am trying to get everything done at work before 2pm, if I EVER take off and have stuff on my desk a certain someone someone (Boss/Dad) gets peeved! I am going to go to the Doc this afternoon for a check up and to complain about my Migraines for the hundredth time maybe they will listen today?? Prolly Not!
Tonight I am making Barefoot Contessa's Chicken Piccata for Matt, he requested it on Sunday! It is fairly easy just a bit time consuming! Then I have to get all over Matt's behind to pack his bags! That is right my Hubby is leaving on a jet plane tomorrow morning (Party!! Ha) Matt is headed to Kansas to stay with college friends and go to a baby shower for one of them! HA, I am not joking. My husband is literally flying to go to a baby shower! hehe...........this is how this morning conversation went by the way.....
"Matt, what did you get for the baby shower"
"You know a gift?"
"Oh I am not bringing one"
"What? your gonna be that guy? Your gonna fly to the shower with no gift? Please tell them I had no part of this"
HA, guys are so silly! But this is his thing and I am not his mother! Matt if your reading this, I love you and I am halfway joking!
Anyways for a "Thankful Thursday"............... I am thankful that I enjoying Blogging and I have made a couple new friends since starting this nonsense!

"Real isn't how you are made," said the Skin Horse. "It's a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real."
"Does it hurt?" asked the Rabbit.
"Sometimes," said the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful. "When you are Real you don't mind being hurt."
"Does it happen all at once, like being wound up," he asked, "or bit by bit?"
"It doesn't happen all at once," said the Skin Horse. "You become. It takes a long time. That's why it doesn't happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand."
